Any idea what could be wrong.

My car won't turn on but battery is good. While the engine is not running? Once i replaced the key fob battery, it took about three tries of davidh25's method and the car started!! If you turn the key or press the start button, the starter doesn’t spin.

The solenoid kicks in, so that proves it’s getting power. Battery good, starter good, alternator good. Sure you knew that, but no one ever said anything bout that.

Don't panic and think you have a major breakdown. If it won't take a charge, get a new one. Tighten battery terminals, and check to make sure headlights work/seem strong/interior lights work.

You can hot wire it buy not crank it. 2005 vw golf 1.4 will not start, has new battery. Check if battery is charged o rule out bad battery.

Overheating can be caused by a number of things such as low coolant levels, a faulty thermostat, a clogged radiator or a failing coolant fan switch. If jump starting gets your engine started and running, but the car will not start again once you turn it off, the battery is probably the problem. The chances are that your battery has partially discharged.

Steps to diagnosing a car that you turn key and nothing happens from chrisfix video: Leonard, if battery and solenoid known to be good, look in black box right behind the battery, take the cover off locate the 10 amp fuse and replace it if blown. Check/test that they are functioning properly.

If equipped with safety features like seat switch, safety neutral, etc. If it won't start but turns over well, it is either not getting fuel or spark. Check your car's manual to find the location of the fuse box, then open it.

When you attempt to start the car, there is a low whining sound. The car won't start, you hear clicking noise, but the lights work. If so, then it is not the starter or battery.

The car was not throwing any codes, the battery was good and the alternator was good, and i refused to take it to a mechanic. If there’s a problem with the battery, it can mean that even if the starter motor is winding the engine over, there won’t necessarily be enough voltage to kick the engine into life. A battery is vital to your car or truck, as it provides power to the starter and electrical system when the car is not running.

Car battery appears good but car won't start. If your electrical system has a bad ground it will cause this sudden loss of power. The car won't start, you hear a clicking noise, and the battery seems good.

Lights but no further action. Last month i was visiting someone and when i went out to go home, the car would not start, no clicking of starter solenoid. Toyota camry won’t start battery good turn key or press start and camry won’t start.

A good voltage while the car is off and has not been running for a few hours (idle voltage) is ~>=12.8v. When a battery is very low, even a jump won't work because the battery takes too much out of the jump. Shops are reporting a high incidence of toyota camry won’t start conditions.

A good indicator of a battery issue are the dash lights that come on when you turn the key. If you really want to be sure, put a voltmeter on it. With no power running in the vehicle, inspect the fuse for a metal wire.

Does any other high current load work well (headlights, rear defrost, fans. I'm going through roughly the same issue, well not anymore. If the engine doesn't turn over at normal speed, then it is usually the battery or a cable connection (battery cable, grounding cable, connections at the starter) or a failing starter.

Anything above 12.3 v is okay. What happens when you turn the key? When i turn the key in to start all the lights on the dashboard go out completely and when i turn it back to the off position the dash lights back up.

If the battery is discharged and the cable connections are good, you’ll want to fully charge the battery and start looking at the condition of the charging system. As you may know the coolant fan switch helps to maintain the proper coolant. Here is why this is most likely a dead battery problem:

I removed the starter and had that checked it it worked fine. Signs to look for that the battery is at fault. Posted by myzoo1153 on jul 07, 2010.

Check battery charge, and battery connections for corrosion. If the battery is in good shape, check for a blown fuse or fusible link. Make sure instrument panel lights up and all lights come on normally (check engine, airbag, etc.)

Take the battery out and have it charged up. But also make sure the battery terminals and cable ends are shiny and greased. Car won't start, and all i hear is a clicking noise.

Signs the battery is dead: The car does not start, but the radio works. My clutch pedal is stuck to the floor.

Ok, so, if its clicking, and you just put a new battery in, double check the battery terminal connections, they need to be clean and very tight, or the starter will just click and not work as you are describing, if you can move the terminal side to side by hand, it's too loose. My key fob had died a few days ago, and i had not replaced it, or driven the car in 3 days. A battery is capable of holding a charge.

The second cheapest component in the entire charging system next to the cables is the belt, so let’s look at that first. Alright… everything looks good, but my car won’t start, and the battery is good. What could the problem be if the battery is okay?

If you don’t have any problem with the battery, the fuses, the ignition switch, or the starter, then the problem might be related to the part of the fuel supply system, including the fuel itself, the gas tank, or the. But the motor won’t spin. Though your battery maybe holding a charge it is still not out of the question as a possible problem in your electrical system.

Replaced battery n had starter tested and it tested good.still wont start but it does make a clicking noise when u turn key backward to take it out.not sure.please help.all lights n radio work and windshield wipers work.no codes coming up on dash either.checked fuses they all seem to be good.there is one thing i noticed my check air bag light comes on when you move front passenger seat.not sure if that.
