My Car Won't Turn On But Battery Is Good

My key fob had died a few days ago, and i had not replaced it, or driven the car in 3 days. Once i replaced the key fob battery, it took about three tries of davidh25's method and the car started!!

This camera is in good working condition. All functions

Steps to diagnosing a car that you turn key and nothing happens from chrisfix video:

My car won't turn on but battery is good. Check your car's manual to find the location of the fuse box, then open it. Signs to look for that the battery is at fault. Ok, so, if its clicking, and you just put a new battery in, double check the battery terminal connections, they need to be clean and very tight, or the starter will just click and not work as you are describing, if you can move the terminal side to side by hand, it's too loose.

Check/test that they are functioning properly. When you attempt to start the car, there is a low whining sound. Lights but no further action.

A battery is vital to your car or truck, as it provides power to the starter and electrical system when the car is not running. Shops are reporting a high incidence of toyota camry won’t start conditions. Any idea what could be wrong.

As you may know the coolant fan switch helps to maintain the proper coolant. You can hot wire it buy not crank it. Alright… everything looks good, but my car won’t start, and the battery is good.

Don't panic and think you have a major breakdown. Check if battery is charged o rule out bad battery. The second cheapest component in the entire charging system next to the cables is the belt, so let’s look at that first.

When i turn the key in to start all the lights on the dashboard go out completely and when i turn it back to the off position the dash lights back up. What could the problem be if the battery is okay? Make sure instrument panel lights up and all lights come on normally (check engine, airbag, etc.)

Last month i was visiting someone and when i went out to go home, the car would not start, no clicking of starter solenoid. 2005 vw golf 1.4 will not start, has new battery. The car won't start, you hear clicking noise, but the lights work.

Toyota camry won’t start battery good turn key or press start and camry won’t start. Leonard, if battery and solenoid known to be good, look in black box right behind the battery, take the cover off locate the 10 amp fuse and replace it if blown. A good indicator of a battery issue are the dash lights that come on when you turn the key.

What happens when you turn the key? If there’s a problem with the battery, it can mean that even if the starter motor is winding the engine over, there won’t necessarily be enough voltage to kick the engine into life. Does any other high current load work well (headlights, rear defrost, fans.

If the engine doesn't turn over at normal speed, then it is usually the battery or a cable connection (battery cable, grounding cable, connections at the starter) or a failing starter. My clutch pedal is stuck to the floor. Anything above 12.3 v is okay.

If the battery is in good shape, check for a blown fuse or fusible link. A good voltage while the car is off and has not been running for a few hours (idle voltage) is ~>=12.8v. If you really want to be sure, put a voltmeter on it.

If your electrical system has a bad ground it will cause this sudden loss of power. But the motor won’t spin. I removed the starter and had that checked it it worked fine.

When a battery is very low, even a jump won't work because the battery takes too much out of the jump. If it won't start but turns over well, it is either not getting fuel or spark. The solenoid kicks in, so that proves it’s getting power.

Posted by myzoo1153 on jul 07, 2010. Car will not start or even turn over. I'm going through roughly the same issue, well not anymore.

The car does not start, but the radio works. With no power running in the vehicle, inspect the fuse for a metal wire. The chances are that your battery has partially discharged.

I took the battery to have it checked and it was fully charged. If equipped with safety features like seat switch, safety neutral, etc. Car won't start, and all i hear is a clicking noise.

Replaced battery n had starter tested and it tested good.still wont start but it does make a clicking noise when u turn key backward to take it out.not sure.please help.all lights n radio work and windshield wipers work.no codes coming up on dash either.checked fuses they all seem to be good.there is one thing i noticed my check air bag light comes on when you move front passenger seat.not sure if that. Sure you knew that, but no one ever said anything bout that. Take the battery out and have it charged up.

Check battery charge, and battery connections for corrosion. If so, then it is not the starter or battery. If jump starting gets your engine started and running, but the car will not start again once you turn it off, the battery is probably the problem.

Battery good, starter good, alternator good. But also make sure the battery terminals and cable ends are shiny and greased. A battery is capable of holding a charge.

Tighten battery terminals, and check to make sure headlights work/seem strong/interior lights work. If the battery is discharged and the cable connections are good, you’ll want to fully charge the battery and start looking at the condition of the charging system. Signs the battery is dead:

If you don’t have any problem with the battery, the fuses, the ignition switch, or the starter, then the problem might be related to the part of the fuel supply system, including the fuel itself, the gas tank, or the. If it won't take a charge, get a new one. While the engine is not running?

Here is why this is most likely a dead battery problem: If you turn the key or press the start button, the starter doesn’t spin. The car won't start, you hear a clicking noise, and the battery seems good.

Car battery appears good but car won't start. Though your battery maybe holding a charge it is still not out of the question as a possible problem in your electrical system. The car was not throwing any codes, the battery was good and the alternator was good, and i refused to take it to a mechanic.

Overheating can be caused by a number of things such as low coolant levels, a faulty thermostat, a clogged radiator or a failing coolant fan switch.
